Everybody needs to know at least one Johnny Cash song! Ring of Fire Ukulele Tabs Chords is a good place to start. This intro has the chords and melody combined. The first G chord is extended with the 4th finger at the 5 fret on the first string to play the melody note. Holding down the 7th fret on the first string while playing the open strings results in a C chord with a E note in the melody (one of the notes in the chord of C major – C E G). This resolves to ordinary C before back to our first extended G at the end of the first line.
The second part of the intro has normal G and C chords with a C6 (all open strings) sneaking in as a ‘passing’ chord.
